100% of Your Donation to PIARA Directly Benefits the People of Ancash

Your generous donation will be used to continue PIARA's successful community programs that have included projects such as creating and improving the Hualcayán Library, sponsoring cultural events, festivals and exhibits, and funding children's holiday celebrations. Other projects include educational workshops, creating the Hualcayán Museum and Cultural Center, and facilitating a Hualcayán oral history project created by schoolchildren that led to the publication of La Historia de Hualcayán: Contada Por Sus Pobladores. This book was a co-created project specifically requested by teachers in the village school in order for students to learn from their parents and grandparents about the history of their community.
